The Sky

Blue bleeds into blue
The sky rises up to meet you
A gentle opening of arms
Waiting for you
To fall
          tired
Into it bossom

The stars shimmer
Trailing gold glitter
Whispering stories of old
Surrounding you
           gently
As you sleep

Mistress moon sings
Soft voice silver white
Spreading her liquid blanket
Magic soothing
             lulling
As solid as dreams

Clouds glide in sweetly
Pillows soft as air
Dedicated to mystery
Undulating slowly
             carefully
The perfect duvet

Winds giggle quietly
Steady fingers holding firm
Catching all who fall
Serene columns relentless
               ceaseless
Irregular dreams

  1. Ash--great job--love, "Mistress moon sings
    Soft voice silver white
    Spreading her liquid blanket
    Magic soothing
    lulling
As solid as dreams" the alliteration and personificaion develops such strong imagery.
